Nice People Finish Second With Financial Rewards?

It seems that bosses who display the trait of agreeableness (e.g., trust, compliance, altruism) reduce absenteeism, high blood pressure, and the use of sick days among their employees. But for themselves, agreeable bosses aren’t as financially successful as their less agreeable counterparts.
In a recent post, Ken Nowack of Envisia explores interesting research on this topic.
Nevertheless, I advocate that all of us should still choose agreeableness in order to obtain the more valuable rewards of mental health and personal wellbeing.
