Jim Jacobs serves as President & CEO of Jacobs Executive Advisors where he oversees all business affairs for Jacobs Executive Advisors.
He brings with him over 20 years of executive recruiting experience. Leading the firm’s Insurance Practice, Jim offers his deep knowledge of industry issues, trends, business models, competitor data, and organizational dynamics. Throughout his tenure, Jim has brought consistent and effective project results to his clients, enabling them to acquire best-of-talent professionals who positively impact the organizations they serve.
Jim’s recruiting strategies, industry expertise, and successful management of complex and sensitive projects have generated hundreds of senior and strategic staffing assignments, including Board Directors, CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, CIOs, Chief Human Resource Officers, Chief Actuaries, EVPs, General Counsels, Controller/Chief Accounting Officers, Chief Corporate Communications Officers, Chief Claims Officers, Chief Underwriting Officers, Division Operating Officers, Directors of Internal Audit, Directors of Investor Relations, and other similar positions.

Jim has long served on recruiting industry trade associations, where he has been honored for distinguished service, business performance, and for his dedication to clients and candidates. He is also a member of the International Insurance Society.
Prior to founding Jacobs Executive Advisors, Jim worked for ten years in the corporate banking industry, providing treasury and financial consulting services to Fortune 100 companies.
Jim holds an M.B.A in Finance from Hofstra University and a B.A. in Political Science from Stony Brook University. He is the proud father of three accomplished sons, a disciplined fitness devotee, and an enthusiast of classical and jazz music.
